Decision Log

The Decision Log is the single source of truth for every brand-related approval, exception, and change. TISSA's operating principle: if it is not in the log, it is not a decision. Verbal agreements, Slack messages, and email threads do not count.

Each entry includes required fields: ID, date, asset or project reference, decision summary, owner, rationale, impacted assets, effective date, expiry or kill date, status, and supporting links. This structure ensures every decision is traceable, reversible, and auditable.

The Decision Log is maintained by the Owner's Rep as part of the Tier 3 governance retainer, but can also be established during a Brand Master Book engagement. It is reviewed and ratified at every monthly Brand Council session.

Why it matters

Undocumented decisions create shadow governance — unofficial standards that only some people know about. They lead to conflicting interpretations, repeated debates, and accountability gaps. The Decision Log eliminates ambiguity by making every brand decision visible, owned, and time-bound.
